<lb ed="T" n="0239a18"/><span class="tx">赤嚢物。又出如瑠璃壺物。前則閉目見之</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0239a19"/><span class="tx">開目卽失。今則開閉俱見。同月二十八日少</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0239a20"/><span class="tx">有病惱。由暫減念佛。或一萬遍或二萬遍隨</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0239a21"/><span class="tx">意勤修。其後右眼有白光。現光端青色。又</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0239a22"/><span class="tx">出瑠璃光。其貎如壺。内有紅華。状如寶瓶。</span>

<lb ed="T" n="0239b24"/><span class="tx">西麓有一大河。傍山出北流南。濱畔渺茫</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0239b25"/><span class="tx">不知涯際。林樹繁茂莫知幾許。予乃飛揚</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0239b26"/><span class="tx">登於山腹。遙視西嶺。空間有紫雲一片。去</span>

<lb ed="T" n="0239c15"/><span class="tx">一時師語余曰。吾年十五登天台山。至十</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0239c16"/><span class="tx">七閱六十卷。十八辭山隱居黑谷。此爲偏</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0239c17"/><span class="tx">棄名利專學佛法也。爾來四十餘年習學</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0239c18"/><span class="tx">天台宗粗得其大意。凡我爲性也雖數卷</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0239c19"/><span class="tx">書讀之至三則明通文義。然宗義深邃難</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0239c20"/><span class="tx">容易得之。是以學久知其綱領而已。又傍</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0239c21"/><span class="tx">遍窺諸宗敎相。顯密諸典及佛心宗無不渉</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0239c22"/><span class="tx">獵。欲求證明咨叩各宗賢哲皆得許可。當</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0239c23"/><span class="tx">初醍醐有三論先達。往述自解。彼師默然乃</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0239c24"/><span class="tx">起入室。出文櫃十餘合而言曰。於我法門</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0239c25"/><span class="tx">付屬無人。久來憂之。公已達之。由悉與焉。</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0239c26"/><span class="tx">進士入道阿性共行在座云</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0239c27"/><span class="tx">師又曰。予曾往謁藏俊僧都談法相宗法</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0239c28"/><span class="tx">門。俊歎曰。公也非直也人。雖値西天論主</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0239c29"/><span class="tx">亦不可過焉。智慧深遠非吾輩所及也。自</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0240a01"/><span class="tx">今而後永獻供物。自其毎歳厚贈惠賜。凡</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0240a02"/><span class="tx">遇諸宗高德皆所稱嘆。又本朝渡到聖敎及</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0240a03"/><span class="tx">俗間史傳等無不歴眼。然思出離道身心</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0240a04"/><span class="tx">不安。因閱惠心往生要集。彼序云。往生極</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0240a05"/><span class="tx">樂之敎行濁世末代之目足。道俗貴賤誰不</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0240a06"/><span class="tx">歸者。但顯密敎法其文非一。事理業因其行</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0240a07"/><span class="tx">惟多。利智精進之人未難。如予頑魯之者豈</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0240a08"/><span class="tx">敢矣。是故依念佛一門聊集經論要文。披</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0240a09"/><span class="tx">之修之易覺易行</span><note place="inline">云云</note><span class="tx">凡序者略述一部</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0240a10"/><span class="tx">大旨。今就序文料之。此集專依念佛其事</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0240a11"/><span class="tx">顯然。已而入文尋義建立十門。於中厭離</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0240a12"/><span class="tx">穢土･欣求淨土･極樂證據三門非是念佛行</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0240a13"/><span class="tx">體。故暫措之。其餘五門正就念佛立之。第</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0240a14"/><span class="tx">九諸行往生從行者樂欲而且明之。是以更</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0240a15"/><span class="tx">無慇懃勸進。其第十門助道人法亦非行體。</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0240a16"/><span class="tx">因今就念佛五門料簡其義。第四正修念佛</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0240a17"/><span class="tx">此爲念佛行體。卽是所助。第五是助念佛方</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0240a18"/><span class="tx">法。卽是能助。故知專心之意念佛爲本也。其</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0240a19"/><span class="tx">第六門別時念佛。此爲於長時勤行不能</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0240a20"/><span class="tx">勇進者勸之。與上念佛全非別體也。其</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0240a21"/><span class="tx">第七門念佛利益。此爲於上所明念佛令</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0240a22"/><span class="tx">生信樂。考利益文備之。其第八門念佛證</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0240a23"/><span class="tx">據。此爲於上念佛令斷疑念。引諸經論</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0240a24"/><span class="tx">證之。然則此集本意唯在念佛亦顯然也。</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0240a25"/><span class="tx">但就正修念佛又有種種念佛。爲初心觀</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0240a26"/><span class="tx">行不堪深奧者敎色想觀。於中又有別</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0240a27"/><span class="tx">相･總相･雜略･極略觀。又有稱名觀。然慇懃</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0240a28"/><span class="tx">勸進唯在稱名也。又雖以五念門名正修</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0240a29"/><span class="tx">念佛。作願迴向非是行體。禮拜讃嘆不如</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0240b01"/><span class="tx">觀察。於觀察中獨於稱名丁寧勸之。其爲</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0240b02"/><span class="tx">本意亦顯然也。但於百卽百生義趣。讓道</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0240b03"/><span class="tx">綽善導釋不委述之。要集之旨蓋如此也。</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0240b04"/><span class="tx">予故往生要集以爲先導入淨土門。而窺</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0240b05"/><span class="tx">此宗奧旨。取善導和尙釋再讀以爲。往生不</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0240b06"/><span class="tx">容易矣。三讀乃知。亂想凡夫依稱名行決</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0240b07"/><span class="tx">定可得往生也。但於白身出離已得決定。</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0240b08"/><span class="tx">又欲普爲衆生弘通斯道。然時機難計。心</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0240b09"/><span class="tx">懷猶豫。一夜夢紫雲大起遍覆四海。雲中</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0240b10"/><span class="tx">出無量光。光中百寶衆鳥翩翻飛散。時予陟</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0240b11"/><span class="tx">高山忽値一高僧。腰下金色宛如佛身。腰</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0240b12"/><span class="tx">上緇衣如尋常僧。高僧云。吾是唐善導。汝能</span>

<lb ed="T" n="0240b15"/><span class="tx">又一時師語曰。昔時天台座主顯眞以使告</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0240b16"/><span class="tx">曰。久隔面晤。顧得相見以盡道情。他日登</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0240b17"/><span class="tx">山必過我居。後一日<ruby chr="イタル">過</ruby>坂本。因告彼禪</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0240b18"/><span class="tx">房。座主下山來訪。乃問曰。方以何法今生</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0240b19"/><span class="tx">解脫生死。予答曰。不如賢慮思擇。座主復</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0240b20"/><span class="tx">曰。公是法門達人。必有所決。願爲開示。予</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0240b21"/><span class="tx">曰。於爲自身不無所擇。唯欲疾得往生</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0240b22"/><span class="tx">極樂耳。座主曰。順次往生未見其理。故致</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0240b23"/><span class="tx">此問。亂想凡夫如何可得往生耶。予曰。成</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0240b24"/><span class="tx">佛難求往生易得。竊依道綽･善導等意。佛</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0240b25"/><span class="tx">本願力以爲強緣。故雖凡夫亦得往生報</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0240b26"/><span class="tx">土也。座主默去。其後座主語人曰。然公雖</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0240b27"/><span class="tx">智慧深遠聊有偏執失。彼人來語。予曰。凡</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0240b28"/><span class="tx">人自不知事必起疑念。世間皆爾。何止眞公</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0240b29"/><span class="tx">乎。座主聞之言曰。實然。我雖於顯密敎鑚</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0240c01"/><span class="tx">仰累年。尙爲名利志不在於淨土。未窺</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0240c02"/><span class="tx">道綽･善導釋義。自非然師誰能出此言也。</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0240c03"/><span class="tx">深懷慚愧。因遂蟄居大原。百日閉戸。博閱</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0240c04"/><span class="tx">淨土章疏。而後致書曰。我已粗窺淨土法</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0240c05"/><span class="tx">門。伏乞勞屈芳駕相與咨決。予許諾焉。東</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0240c06"/><span class="tx">大寺上人俊乘亦未思決出離道。聞事大</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0240c07"/><span class="tx">喜。乃將弟子三十餘輩而來大原。其外諸</span>

<lb ed="T" n="0240c09"/><span class="tx">難蜂<span style="font-size:8">如ニ</span>起奇辯爭馳。予隨所問難一一破立。</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0240c10"/><span class="tx">衆皆感歎伏於予義。於是座主發一大願</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0240c11"/><span class="tx">曰。彼地建立五箇別院。令衆永常修一向專</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0240c12"/><span class="tx">念行。稱名之外更不交餘行也。其行至今</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0240c13"/><span class="tx">無有退轉。後勸妹尼公製念佛勸進書一</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0240c14"/><span class="tx">卷。世稱顯眞消息者是也。大佛上人亦發一</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0240c15"/><span class="tx">願曰。我國道俗詣閻王宮。見問名字之時</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0240c16"/><span class="tx">卽唱佛號。我先自字曰南無阿彌陀佛。是乃</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0240c17"/><span class="tx">吾朝以阿彌陀佛爲字之權輿也</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0240c18"/><span class="tx">又一時師語曰。當世之人不知法門分際。汎</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0240c19"/><span class="tx">爾以謂。今時解脫生死甚難矣。我師肥後闍</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0240c20"/><span class="tx">梨光圓才智過人道意幽深。自顧自身分際</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0240c21"/><span class="tx">以爲。今生不能解脫生死。若歴多生恐隔</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0240c22"/><span class="tx">生卽忘永廢佛法矣。不如受長命報待慈</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0240c23"/><span class="tx">尊出世也。凡報命長者無過龍身。寧我求</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0240c24"/><span class="tx">彼畜報。但海底有金翅鳥之難。遠州笠原櫻</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0240c25"/><span class="tx">池深淵清潔幽林緣隈。此處甚好。可以寓躬</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0240c26"/><span class="tx">焉。便請領家得其許疏。終焉之時乞水入</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0240c27"/><span class="tx">掌結印而死。一日彼池無風波瀾忽起涾涾</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0240c28"/><span class="tx">鼓撃水面無一點塵。鄕里怪異。考其時日乃</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0240c29"/><span class="tx">闍梨逝去之時也。闍利有智慧故知出離難。</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0241a01"/><span class="tx">有道心故願値佛世。惜哉不知淨土法門</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0241a02"/><span class="tx">徒入異趣。當時我早得此法門。不論信不</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0241a03"/><span class="tx">爲指授之。實堪遺憾也。嗚乎當世之人有</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0241a04"/><span class="tx">道心者徒期遠生之緣。無道心者虛墮名</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0241a05"/><span class="tx">利之阬。豈不哀乎。凡謂以自力出生死</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0241a06"/><span class="tx">者。不知時機分際故也</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0241a07"/><span class="tx">師曾有患瘧。醫療無効。月輪禪閤酷憂之。</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0241a08"/><span class="tx">因命畫工圖善導大師肖像。於師之菴室</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0241a09"/><span class="tx">供養。乃以告之安居院僧都聖覺。覺報曰。聖</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0241a10"/><span class="tx">覺亦受瘧疾。殆不任起坐。然師恩難報。貴</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0241a11"/><span class="tx">命是重。何不走于命乎。翌旦乃來執行佛</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0241a12"/><span class="tx">事。以求法救。且陞座說法。其大旨云。大師</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0241a13"/><span class="tx">釋尊隨類應同之日。尙示頭病背痛之迹。況</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0241a14"/><span class="tx">凡夫血肉身奚無疾病。懼昏愚之徒不知此</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0241a15"/><span class="tx">理。謾懷疑念於師。以爲佛法無驗。不足以</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0241a16"/><span class="tx">依頼焉。嗚乎上人化導已稱佛意得往生</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0241a17"/><span class="tx">者不可勝計。然則諸佛菩薩諸天龍神云何</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0241a18"/><span class="tx">不歎衆生疑謗。四天大王實守佛法。亟愈</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0241a19"/><span class="tx">我師病惱也。啓白之間導師影前異香芬馥。</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0241a20"/><span class="tx">於是師及聖覺瘧疾如洗而不復發。僧都自</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0241a21"/><span class="tx">歎曰。我故法印請雨揚名都鄙。聖覺亦有</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0241a22"/><span class="tx">此事。豈非奇特乎。世人驚歎服其至誠云｣</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0241a23"/><span class="tx">又一時師語曰。我立淨土宗之元意。爲顯</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0241a24"/><span class="tx">示凡夫往生報土也。且如天台宗雖許凡</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0241a25"/><span class="tx">夫往生。其判淨土卑淺。如法相宗其判淨</span>

<lb ed="T" n="0241a27"/><span class="tx">其趣雖異總而論之不許凡夫往生報土。</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0241a28"/><span class="tx">是故我依善導釋義建立宗門。以明凡夫</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0241a29"/><span class="tx">生報土之義也。然人多誹謗云。勸進念佛</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0241b01"/><span class="tx">往生何必別開宗門。豈非爲勝他耶。如此</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0241b02"/><span class="tx">之人未知旨也。若不別開宗門何顯凡夫</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0241b03"/><span class="tx">生報士之義乎。且夫人問所言念佛往生</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0241b04"/><span class="tx">是依何敎何師者。旣非天台･法相。又非三</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0241b05"/><span class="tx">論･華嚴。不知以何答之。是故依道綽･善導</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0241b06"/><span class="tx">意立淨土宗。全非爲勝他也</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0241b07"/><span class="tx">又一時師語曰。我立一向專念之義。人多難</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0241b08"/><span class="tx">之曰。諸行往生俱是佛說。亦可勸進。何爲</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0241b09"/><span class="tx">揚一抑餘。且設勸餘行亦何妨礙念佛往</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0241b10"/><span class="tx">生。然而強立一向專念之義。此有偏執失</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0241b11"/><span class="tx">矣。如此難者不知宗之元意故也。經云。一</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0241b12"/><span class="tx">向專念無量壽佛。釋云。一向尊稱彌陀佛名。</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0241b13"/><span class="tx">若離經釋而立私義則實可責也。經釋已</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0241b14"/><span class="tx">有一向之言。而強致難破是謗佛祖。非關</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0241b15"/><span class="tx">吾也。又師曾連坐弟子安樂住蓮事窺于</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0241b16"/><span class="tx">讃州。嚴譴之日尙對徒弟演一向專念義。</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0241b17"/><span class="tx">有西阿彌陀佛<span style="font-size:8">ト云</span>者。作色言曰。師勿復言此</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0241b18"/><span class="tx">事。諸弟亦莫復問此事。遠境艱厄本由此</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0241b19"/><span class="tx">事之興起也。師曰。汝不見經釋之文乎。西</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0241b20"/><span class="tx">阿曰。經釋之文雖是著明如世之機嫌何。</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0241b21"/><span class="tx">師曰。爲法輕命。吾死不悔。不可不敢言</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0241b22"/><span class="tx">也。至誠之色<ruby chr="アラワレ">發</ruby>于辭氣。見人涕泣感伏</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0241b23"/><span class="tx">或時有鎭西僧。行脚之次訪吉水廬。師適念</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0241b24"/><span class="tx">佛在道場。侍者迎而相對。行者問曰。稱名之</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0241b25"/><span class="tx">時繫心於佛相好可乎。侍者答曰。此實可也。</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0241b26"/><span class="tx">師排道場戸言曰。源空不然。唯思若我成</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0241b27"/><span class="tx">佛十方衆生稱我名號下至十聲若不生者不</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0241b28"/><span class="tx">取正覺彼佛今現在世成佛當知本誓重願不</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0241b29"/><span class="tx">虛衆生稱念必得往生之文而已。顧以我分</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0241c01"/><span class="tx">際縱觀佛相好。實非是如說觀。不加深憑</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0241c02"/><span class="tx">本願口稱名號之爲勝也。是則眞實之行</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0241c03"/><span class="tx">或人問曰。導師釋本願文略安心者有何</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0241c04"/><span class="tx">意乎。師答曰。唯知衆生稱念必得往生。則</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0241c05"/><span class="tx">自然具足三心。爲顯此理略而不釋也</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0241c06"/><span class="tx">或人問曰。日課稱名六萬十萬而不如法<span style="font-size:8">ナルト</span>。</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0241c07"/><span class="tx">與二萬三萬而如法孰爲善耶。師答曰。亂</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0241c08"/><span class="tx">想凡夫設是少數如法勤修事實難矣。不如</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0241c09"/><span class="tx">課數之多也。科數之要畢竟在令心相續</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0241c10"/><span class="tx">耳。只使念佛口頭不絶則足矣。何必擇如</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0241c11"/><span class="tx">法不如法乎</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0241c12"/><span class="tx">一時予問曰。若以智慧爲往生要。吾隨師</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0241c13"/><span class="tx">勵學業。若但稱名其事爲足更無他求。乞</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0241c14"/><span class="tx">師示之。吾守之如金口說矣。師答曰。往生</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0241c15"/><span class="tx">正業稱名爲要釋文分明。不簡有智無智</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0241c16"/><span class="tx">亦復顯然。何必用學業爲。不如一向念佛</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0241c17"/><span class="tx">疾得往生淨土。値遇聖衆聽受法門也。又</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0241c18"/><span class="tx">彼國莊嚴晝夜說甚深法。自然開發勝解</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0241c19"/><span class="tx">證無生忍。但若未知念佛往生之義學而</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0241c20"/><span class="tx">知之。粗知則足矣。設得廣學凡智無幾。莫</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0241c21"/><span class="tx">徒好智解廢稱名之光陰也</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0241c22"/><span class="tx">又一時師語曰。弘通淨土之師世世多之。</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0241c23"/><span class="tx">皆勸菩提心。且以觀察爲正。唯善導一師</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0241c24"/><span class="tx">許不發菩提心亦得往生。又判觀察以</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0241c25"/><span class="tx">爲稱名助業。當世之人若不依善導意則</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0241c26"/><span class="tx">恐難得往生也。曇鸞･道綽･懷感等雖皆爲</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0241c27"/><span class="tx">相承人師。而至其義則未必一準。當能</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0241c28"/><span class="tx">辨別之。若不辨此旨於往生難易冥然有</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0241c29"/><span class="tx">惑也</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0242a01"/><span class="tx">又一時予問曰。人多勸持齋。此義如何。師答</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0242a02"/><span class="tx">曰。凡出家人作法皆當如是。然至末代色</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0242a03"/><span class="tx">力已𮕩。飡食亦減。以此弱報一食長齋恐心</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0242a04"/><span class="tx">馳食境念佛不精矣。菩提心經云。食不妨</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0242a05"/><span class="tx">菩提。心能妨菩提。各忖己分。行之可也</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0242a06"/><span class="tx">又一時予問曰。於往生行業已得決定焉。</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0242a07"/><span class="tx">但一期行履云何當保護耶。師答曰。凡僧尼</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0242a08"/><span class="tx">之法有大小戒律。然末法人根實難堪矣。源</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0242a09"/><span class="tx">空禁之誰人隨之。只須要念佛相續。往生</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0242a10"/><span class="tx">行業念佛爲正。應守此旨而已</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0242a11"/><span class="tx">又一時師語曰。受敎與發心此不必同時。</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0242a12"/><span class="tx">以發心有觸緣而發起也。往歳有一住山</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0242a13"/><span class="tx">僧。逢予問曰。我已久學淨土法門粗得大</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0242a14"/><span class="tx">旨。而未得發信心。以何方便成立信心。</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0242a15"/><span class="tx">予諭曰。宜乞冥助於三寶焉。彼僧自其慇</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0242a16"/><span class="tx">懃祈請久之。一日詣東大寺。會遇大殿上</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0242a17"/><span class="tx">棟之日。見之須臾信心忽發。以謂。自非良</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0242a18"/><span class="tx">工嘉謀巨材由何飛騰梁上。凡工尙爾。矧</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0242a19"/><span class="tx">又如來善巧不思議力。我有願生志。佛有引</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0242a20"/><span class="tx">接誓。往生淨土決定不違矣。一得此理無</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0242a21"/><span class="tx">復疑念。彼僧復來語余其事。後經三年遂</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0242a22"/><span class="tx">得往生。靈瑞尤多云。觸緣起信如此。須常</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0242a23"/><span class="tx">係念乞冥助於三寶耳</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0242a24"/><span class="tx">或人問曰。眞言所修阿彌陀供養法此亦可</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0242a25"/><span class="tx">爲往生正行耶。師答曰。不然。佛體雖一隨</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0242a26"/><span class="tx">敎其意不同。其言敎阿彌陀是己心如來不</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0242a27"/><span class="tx">可外覓者。淨敎所謂阿彌陀佛乃是法藏比</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0242a28"/><span class="tx">丘發願成就佛體在西方者。其意大異。不</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0242a29"/><span class="tx">可以一混焉。況彼成佛之法。此往生之敎。</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0242b01"/><span class="tx">不可一同也</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0242b02"/><span class="tx">或人問曰。善導和尙意以聖道敎爲方便</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0242b03"/><span class="tx">敎。出在何文。師答曰。法事讃云。如來出現</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0242b04"/><span class="tx">於五濁隨宜方便化群萌或說多聞而得度或</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0242b05"/><span class="tx">說小解證三明或敎福惠雙除障或敎禪念坐</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0242b06"/><span class="tx">思量種種法門皆解脫無過念佛往西方</span><note place="inline">已上</note>
<lb ed="T" n="0242b07"/><span class="tx">是也。難曰。已言種種法門皆解脫。何以此</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0242b08"/><span class="tx">文爲方便證據乎。答曰。上云隨宜方便化</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0242b09"/><span class="tx">群萌。次云種種法門皆解脫。至下云無過</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0242b10"/><span class="tx">念佛往西方。明知念佛往生之外皆爲方便</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0242b11"/><span class="tx">說也</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0242b12"/><span class="tx">又一時師語曰。法門優劣由宗義轉。學者</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0242b13"/><span class="tx">雖多分別之者甚希。我朝眞言乃有二流。</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0242b14"/><span class="tx">所謂東寺眞言･天台眞言是也。就中天台所</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0242b15"/><span class="tx">傳眞言其義不如東寺所傳眞言。所以者何。</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0242b16"/><span class="tx">天台一山之内兼學顯密二敎。而以法花</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0242b17"/><span class="tx">爲宗本意。而言天台奧旨者卽眞言也。是</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0242b18"/><span class="tx">乃不出顯宗域内之眞言也。東寺所傳眞言</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0242b19"/><span class="tx">乃言非顯宗之可比等焉。是則顯宗域外之</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0242b20"/><span class="tx">眞言也。又我窺諸宗敎相。眞言･佛心兩宗</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0242b21"/><span class="tx">收取諸宗以爲自宗敎相。而廢諸敎以立</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0242b22"/><span class="tx">自宗。自餘諸宗不取眞言･佛心以爲自宗</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0242b23"/><span class="tx">敎相。又不廢彼兩宗。故知於宗義則無與</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0242b24"/><span class="tx">此兩宗等者也</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0242b25"/><span class="tx">又師在世時三井僧正公胤作淨土決疑鈔</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0242b26"/><span class="tx">三卷破選擇集。其書云。法華有卽往安樂</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0242b27"/><span class="tx">之文。觀經有讀誦大乘之句。讀誦法華往</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0242b28"/><span class="tx">生淨土。是有何妨。然廢讀誦大乘唯立念</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0242b29"/><span class="tx">佛一行。此大錯也。胤公使弟子學佛齎之往</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0242c01"/><span class="tx">而示於師。師披之未終卷。而言曰。此書不</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0242c02"/><span class="tx">足遍覽。曾聞胤公有優才也。不意出於如</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0242c03"/><span class="tx">此淺語。胤公聞吾立淨土宗。必知判敎權</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0242c04"/><span class="tx">實。已知判敎權實。復必知存廢權立實之</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0242c05"/><span class="tx">義。然今何爲難我廢立之義。又以圓頓一實</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0242c06"/><span class="tx">法華反攝爾前觀經讀誦大乘句中。以爲所</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0242c07"/><span class="tx">難準的。此亦似忘自宗廢立之旨。胤公若</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0242c08"/><span class="tx">有深智乃責余言。觀經爾前之敎。何以圓</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0242c09"/><span class="tx">極法華攝在爾前觀經讀誦大乘句中而廢</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0242c10"/><span class="tx">之乎。然吾立淨土宗。通以觀經前後諸大</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0242c11"/><span class="tx">乘經悉攝往生行中。而對念佛廢之。何獨</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0242c12"/><span class="tx">遺法華乎。學佛還報。胤公無語卽燒其書。</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0242c13"/><span class="tx">師之滅後七七日間門人聚會爲修追福。胤</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0242c14"/><span class="tx">公自請一日勤其導師。說法之因語聽徒</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0242c15"/><span class="tx">曰。吾今來臨上人追修之席者偏爲懺悔</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0242c16"/><span class="tx">前非。具述上事。四座感其悃篤。胤公自其</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0242c17"/><span class="tx">而後深歸淨土。終焉吉祥數有佳瑞云</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0242c18"/><span class="tx">又一時師語曰。一日予遊月輪禪閤之館。適</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0242c19"/><span class="tx">山僧某來會。僧問予曰。聞公立淨土宗。爾</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0242c20"/><span class="tx">乎。予答曰。然也。又問。依何經論立之耶。答</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0242c21"/><span class="tx">曰。依善導觀經疏中付屬釋文立之。僧曰。</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0242c22"/><span class="tx">其立宗義何唯依一文耶。予微笑不答。彼</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0242c23"/><span class="tx">僧還山語寶地眞公曰。空公得吾問不能</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0242c24"/><span class="tx">答。眞公曰。空公不答者非不能矣。以不</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0242c25"/><span class="tx">足答故也。空公於我台宗已爲達人。且廣</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0242c26"/><span class="tx">渉亙諸宗神智高邁。子也自料所問淺薄</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0242c27"/><span class="tx">勿敢輕篾空公矣。眞公能知予者。圓戒法</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0242c28"/><span class="tx">門乃予之弟子也</span><note place="inline">私云。以此乃知。依付<br/>屬文而立宗義也</note>
<lb ed="T" n="0242c29"/><span class="tx">又一時師語曰。聖道門者喩之如祖父履。祖</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0243a01"/><span class="tx">父大足。兒孫小足。其履不可用也。今人欲</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0243a02"/><span class="tx">追昔賢之跡修聖道門亦復如是。此道綽</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0243a03"/><span class="tx">禪師之意也</span><note place="inline">或文如<br/>祖父弓</note>
<lb ed="T" n="0243a04"/><span class="tx">或人問曰。常住廢惡修善之念念佛<span style="font-size:8">スルト</span>。與常</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0243a05"/><span class="tx">思本願之旨念佛。孰爲勝耶。師答曰。廢惡</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0243a06"/><span class="tx">修善雖是諸佛通誡。末世我等常多違背。若</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0243a07"/><span class="tx">自不乘別意弘願恐難出生死者歟</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0243a08"/><span class="tx">又一時師召予言曰。汝見選擇集否。予對</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0243a09"/><span class="tx">曰。未見。師曰。此我所述。汝當見之。我生存</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0243a10"/><span class="tx">間不欲流布。故未許他焉。師曾罹于微恙。</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0243a11"/><span class="tx">方其復時。月輪禪閤請曰。願師撰集淨土要</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0243a12"/><span class="tx">義爲吾垂訓。拳拳服膺以備明鑑焉。於是</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0243a13"/><span class="tx">師乃著選擇集贈之。然此集中乃約淨土</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0243a14"/><span class="tx">門中諸行而念佛與諸行所比論也。是卽</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0243a15"/><span class="tx">淨土宗觀無量壽經之意而已。是故師述其</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0243a16"/><span class="tx">意曰。此觀無量壽經若依天台宗意則爾前</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0243a17"/><span class="tx">敎也。故成法華方便。若依法相宗意則爲</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0243a18"/><span class="tx">別時意。然依淨土宗意則一切敎行悉爲念</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0243a19"/><span class="tx">佛方便。故言淨土宗觀無量壽經也。師又</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0243a20"/><span class="tx">曰。凡於聖道門皆修三乘四乘因而得三</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0243a21"/><span class="tx">乘四乘果。故諸行與念佛不比挍也。於淨</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0243a22"/><span class="tx">土門諸行･念佛俱是往生之因。故諸行與念</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0243a23"/><span class="tx">佛所比挍也。然而諸行則非彌陀本願。是</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0243a24"/><span class="tx">故彌陀光明不攝取之。釋尊亦不付屬。故</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0243a25"/><span class="tx">導師曰。自餘衆行雖名是善若比念佛者全</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0243a26"/><span class="tx">非比挍也。又道綽･善導宗義不異。當辨知</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0243a27"/><span class="tx">之。又聖道淨土二門雖異行體是一也。義意</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0243a28"/><span class="tx">可知</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0243b01"/><span class="tx">臨終祥瑞記</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0243b02"/><span class="tx">建曆元年十一月十七日。有歸洛之勅許。中</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0243b03"/><span class="tx">納言藤光親奉綸命到勝尾。因同月二十日</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0243b04"/><span class="tx">師還洛東大谷。緇白奔走如逢父母。悲喜</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0243b05"/><span class="tx">交流。同二年正月二日少覺四大不愈。從來</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0243b06"/><span class="tx">所患不餐之氣轉増。自爾唯語往生一事</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0243b07"/><span class="tx">不復餘言。高聲念佛宛如平生。雖睡眠間</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0243b08"/><span class="tx">脣舌尙動。又比年老病相侵耳目稍𮕩。大限</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0243b09"/><span class="tx">已近反復聰明。不亦奇乎。同三日語諸弟</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0243b10"/><span class="tx">曰。我前身在天竺交聲聞僧常行頭陀。今</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0243b11"/><span class="tx">來本邦學天台宗。竟開淨土門專弘念佛</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0243b12"/><span class="tx">矣。諸弟問曰。師今往生極樂世界乎。答曰。</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0243b13"/><span class="tx">極樂吾本邦也。盍歸去乎。同十一日辰刻起</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0243b14"/><span class="tx">坐合掌高聲念佛殆過于平時。聞人皆零淚。</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0243b15"/><span class="tx">乃告諸弟曰。汝等高聲念佛。今阿彌陀佛</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0243b16"/><span class="tx">來。因爲讃歎念佛功德。少時又曰。觀音勢至</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0243b17"/><span class="tx">及海會聖衆來。汝等見不。諸弟對曰。不見。</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0243b18"/><span class="tx">曰汝等至心念佛。必得見之。又諸弟乞安</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0243b19"/><span class="tx">佛像于前。手繫五色線以爲臨終引接之助</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0243b20"/><span class="tx">標。師笑而指空曰。此外又有佛乎。吾十餘</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0243b21"/><span class="tx">年來念佛功積。三昧成就頻見彼土佛菩薩</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0243b22"/><span class="tx">及諸莊嚴。於予何用假助標乎。同二十日</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0243b23"/><span class="tx">當坊上紫雲起。雲中更有彩雲。色甚鮮明。</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0243b24"/><span class="tx">状如畫佛。諸人見之隨喜感歎。弟子白曰。</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0243b25"/><span class="tx">已有紫雲之瑞。師往生其近乎。師曰。善哉</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0243b26"/><span class="tx">令見聞之人増長信根者。同日未刻師仰</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0243b27"/><span class="tx">首見空。自西至東者五六度。諸弟問曰。師</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0243b28"/><span class="tx">見佛乎。曰佛菩薩來迎接於吾也。同二十</span>

<lb ed="T" n="0243c05"/><span class="tx">歇又勤無斷時。其勇進也過于平生。弟子數</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0243c06"/><span class="tx">輩更相助音。結緣道俗滿庭聽之。二十五日</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0243c07"/><span class="tx">午刻被著慈覺大師傳來僧伽梨衣。頭北面</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0243c08"/><span class="tx">西。誦光明遍照四句之文。已如入禪定而</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0243c09"/><span class="tx">化。世壽八十年。爲僧六十六夏。實建曆二年</span>

<lb ed="T" n="0243c11"/><span class="tx">連日如市。僧某者嘗夢。有人持簿來示。僧</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0243c12"/><span class="tx">曰。是何。曰記日本國中諸人往生之疏。因</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0243c13"/><span class="tx">披見之。至卷尾記曰。法然上人臨終誦光</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0243c14"/><span class="tx">明遍照四句之文而往生也。彼僧覺怪之。默</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0243c15"/><span class="tx">而不語。師入滅之後記贈門人。其外靈感</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0243c16"/><span class="tx">不一。今略記其大槪而已</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0243c17"/><span class="tx">　　如來滅後一百年時有阿育王。不信佛</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0243c18"/><span class="tx">法。而其國人民皆歸佛法。王云。佛有何</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0243c19"/><span class="tx">功德得超衆人。若有値佛者我當往而</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0243c20"/><span class="tx">尋之。時大臣奏云。波斯匿王妹尼乃値佛</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0243c21"/><span class="tx">人也。王卽往而問曰。佛有何殊異。尼曰。</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0243c22"/><span class="tx">佛功德無量難測。晝夜一劫何能說盡。乃</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0243c23"/><span class="tx">爲說其一相。王聞悔喜交生。心開意解。今</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0243c24"/><span class="tx">也師之滅後才經三十年。親値師之人世</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0243c25"/><span class="tx">間尤多之。後來遙隔歳月。懼其嘉言善行</span>

<lb ed="T" n="0244a06"/><span class="tx">要。倏忽奉承高命驚悚。誠難譬喩。嚴威是</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0244a07"/><span class="tx">迫。欲辭不能。貴問曰。一發信心更無疑</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0244a08"/><span class="tx">慮者。少修一念十念以備往生資糧。自其</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0244a09"/><span class="tx">而後不復稱念。而自以爲。決可往生矣。如</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0244a10"/><span class="tx">此之人亦可順次往生也否。又信心決定之</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0244a11"/><span class="tx">後設犯四重五逆等重罪。而不可爲往生</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0244a12"/><span class="tx">障耶。對曰。觀經所說十念往生是臨終事非</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0244a13"/><span class="tx">平生時。臨終平生豈可混同。平生行人縱起</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0244a14"/><span class="tx">決定信心成就一念十念。其人自其而後</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0244a15"/><span class="tx">不復稱念。則順次往生恐難剋果。後念罪惡</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0244a16"/><span class="tx">障往生故。又縱犯小罪。若不懺悔則尙成</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0244a17"/><span class="tx">往生之障。況犯四重五逆重罪而不用懺</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0244a18"/><span class="tx">悔者。豈可得往生乎。是反不免惡趣者</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0244a19"/><span class="tx">也。或曰。縱起深信常專稱念。若犯重罪卽</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0244a20"/><span class="tx">當能懺悔念佛。若其不然則難得順次往</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0244a21"/><span class="tx">生也。此義尤善矣。夫乃至一念無有疑心上</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0244a22"/><span class="tx">盡一形下至十聲一聲等之文。此卽決定往</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0244a23"/><span class="tx">生之依憑也。然一稱念後不復用念。且信心</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0244a24"/><span class="tx">決定之後犯罪亦不妨往生也。如此信者</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0244a25"/><span class="tx">雖是似深信反成就邪見者。近來自住此</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0244a26"/><span class="tx">邪見者世間甚多。誠可悲也。又貴問曰。一</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0244a27"/><span class="tx">生不退稱念佛者誤犯重罪。未及懺悔念</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0244a28"/><span class="tx">佛而命終者。以前念佛功可得往生耶。將</span>
<lb ed="T" n="0244a29"/><span class="tx">以後犯罪咎不得往生耶。對曰。誤犯罪</span>
